We arrive in Vienna on one afternoon at the beginning of the Indian summer. Our first international wedding. Having filled our stomachs with a falafel, we take the metro to meet Marie and Samuel.
As always, we are slightly nervous. And as always, we quickly find out that there was no need.
We slowly blend in with the merry crowd. No one notices us, just how we like it. We concentrate, capturing the guests’ looks of joy and documenting the gentle touches of the couples and the newlyweds. We watch as the sun penetrates the crystal champagne glasses. Everybody is enjoying themselves. They cherish the time spent together, as they have arrived from different corners of the world. And we cherish being able to witness this special event.
